Our practice satisfies requests from patients for routine extractions and also wisdom teeth on a daily basis.
We do all types of extractions in the practice, however there are occasional times we need to refer you to an oral and maxillo-facial surgeon for wisdom teeth are very badly impacted or difficult to remove. In addition, if you have health insurance (e.g Southern Cross) you will benefit for seen an oral and maxillo-facial surgeon as they cover their costs in full. Please note we do not offer IV sedation at our practice.
You may be aware that you have impacted wisdom teeth. Symptoms are pain, swollen and bleeding gums, swelling around the jaw, bad breath, headache or jaw ache, and an unpleasant taste when eating. Some people have trouble opening their mouth because of the infection. The solution to your wisdom tooth problems is to ask to see our dentist with a special interest in oral surgery – Dr Christine Bellman.
