The One-Stop For Your General Dentistry Requirements in Northland
We do a regular examination, X-rays and photographs to assess your oral health and risk factors for tooth decay (caries) and gum (periodontal) disease.
An adult with good oral hygiene and no problems at check-ups may need to come in just once a year. Someone with a lot of tartar, bleeding gums or cavities may need to come every six months. Regular appointments are important to detect problems that you may not notice on a day to day basis. Some patients prefer to see our hygienist first to have their teeth professionally cleaned, scaled and polished, prior to their examination and X-rays with one of our dentists,
Our fully digital, low dosage, diagnostic X-ray equipment ensures that we can detect potential issues early before they become more serious, saving you time, discomfort and unnecessary expense. Instant X-ray images from digital sensors allow our dentists to make a rapid diagnosis. Our efficient dental assistants will display the digital X-rays within seconds on surgery computer screens. We also have a “state of the art” panoramic X-ray machine to show our dentists a full face view of the dental and related structures. This is particularly useful to help you understand wisdom tooth extractions, multiple extractions before dentures, infections, possible jaw fractures and joint problems.
All our dentists perform their high standard of care for your mouth by working under 3.5 x magnification Zeiss loupes including profound LED lighting. This allows them to see everything they need to sort out your problems quickly and efficiently.
